L’emozione di vivere una delle belle tradizioni del Molise è stata accentuata dal ritrovare lá cari amici come Carla De Francesco e Piero Ricci della mia Isernia.
La Pagiara maje majə è stato il motivo per cui siamo giunti fin lassù.
Ad accompagnare la Pagliara per le vie del borgo per ricevere l’acqua versata dalla tina (contenitore in rame a forma di clessidra) come metafora di abbondanza, senza dubbio, è stata la musica popolare!
Cantare tutti insieme, poi, il canto in dialetto molisano “Le campanə Rə Vignaturə” con i ragazzi del Gruppo folkloristico Toma Toma di Montefalcone del Sannio (Campobasso, Molise -Italy) è stato davvero il top.

Popular music brings people together: the traditional Pagliara of Fossalto in Molise
The emotion of experiencing one of Molise’s beautiful traditions was heightened by meeting dear friends there, such as Carla De Francesco and Piero Ricci from my hometown of Isernia.
The Pagliara maje majə was the very reason we travelled all the way up there.
Accompanying the Pagliara through the streets of the village to receive the water poured from the tina (a copper container shaped like an hourglass), a metaphor for abundance, was—without any doubt—popular music.
And then singing together the Molisan dialect song “Le campanə Rə Vignaturə” with the young members of the Toma Toma Folkloric Group of Montefalcone del Sannio (Campobasso, Molise – Italy) was truly the highlight.
